About me

DSC06848.JPG

I grew up in the beautiful small town of Haliburton, Ontario. Being a dancer and having a love of science, I was drawn to McMaster University where I completed my Honor’s Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. During my undergraduate degree, I volunteered in the Sports Medicine Clinic on campus, as well as several other physiotherapy clinics. I then pursued a Master’s in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University.

Upon graduating, I moved to the Ottawa area where I began working in private practice. I have been privileged to work with a number of excellent and skilled mentors who have guided my practice and helped develop my skills further as a physiotherapist. My practice has focused on orthopaedics and sports injuries.  I believe in taking a multi-faceted approach to treatment, using a combination of exercise, manual therapy, modalities, and education.

As someone who loves the outdoors, Ottawa has been the perfect city for me. I spend the winters cross country skiing, and the summers hiking, cycling, and whitewater kayaking. Since leaving the dance world I have also taken up yoga, which has been a great complement to the many other activities I love!
